These earrings are a celebration of Canada, honoring their 150th birthday on July 1, 2017! There is a wood-grain texture around the outside of the maple leaf, representative of all of the beautiful forests in Canada.
These copper earrings are made using a technique called chasing and repousse, which means, in short, to push metal. They are created entirely by hand, using the same techniques used nearly 5000 years ago.
The earwires are handmade from sterling silver. The earrings are 1-3/4 inches long.
