Dogwood Cuff Bracelet

Dogwood Cuff Bracelet

The flowering dogwood, Cornus florida, is a species of flowering plant that is native to eastern North America and northern Mexico. The Dogwood tree grows to an average height of about 30 feet. This is the state flower of both North Carolina and Virginia, and the provincial flower of British Columbia, Canada!

This bracelet was created using an ancient sculpting technique called chasing and repousse, a technique dating back nearly 5000 years. The images are created entirely by hand using a hammer and small blunt tools, pushing the metal from behind to create depth and sculpting the images from the front. It takes thousands of hammer blows to create a single image.

This sterling silver cuff bracelet comfortably fits a 6-1/4 inch wrist.
