Persephone Earrings

Persephone Earrings

$55.00

In Greek mythology, Persephone was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, and the goddess of spring and innocence. She became the queen of the Underworld after her abduction by Hades, making her a duel deity. I had a beloved horse who was very appropriately named Persephone, since she definitely had a very sweet side, and a side that was definitely not so sweet! I think of Persi every time I see these earrings.

Chainmaille has been around for thousands of years, first used to create armor at least as early as the 3rd century B.C. To create chainmaille, wire is formed into a coil, the coil is cut into rings, and these individual rings are woven together to create a fabric or interlocking pattern.

These sterling silver earrings are 1-1/2 inches long.
