These unique earrings are made with a technique called granulation, where very tiny pieces of fine silver are melted to form a ball, and each ball is placed individually. The entire pieces is then fused together with a flame, taking the piece to the point just below the melting point. It’s an incredible process that was frequently used by ancient artists.
