The wild rose is a true wildflower, native to the United States. Some varieties have come from Asia, Europe or Africa and have become naturalized. These sweet little flowers are also known as the pasture rose, Scotch briar or prairie rose.

This sterling silver pendant was created entirely by hand, using an ancient sculpting techniques of chasing and repousse. These technique use small, specialized tools and thousands of hammer blows to push and form the metal, either from the front of the piece to add texture and detail (chasing) or from behind to create depth (repousse). This work is done free hand, beginning with a flat sheet of metal, and no molds, stamps or machines are used in the process, making each piece truly one of a kind.

The top of the frame has small 24K gold accents, and the ends of the chain have 18K gold balls. The chain is a sterling silver wheat chain that is 24 inches long and finished with a lobster clasp.

The pendant is approximately 1-1/4 inches tall, 1 inch across, and 4 mm deep.

The quote on the side of the pendant is hand engraved and reads: Love is a powerful thing.
